QuickTip – Terms of Use

Effective Date: January 19, 2025

Welcome to QuickTip! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the QuickTip mobile application (“App”) operated by Oguz Doruk (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, or using QuickTip, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

QuickTip is a tip calculator and bill splitting application that helps users:

  • Calculate tips and taxes for restaurant bills
  • Split bills among multiple people
  • Store calculation history (Premium feature)
  • Export calculation data (Premium feature)
  • Access advanced rounding and customization features (Premium feature)

3. USER ACCOUNTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

Free Version

  • The App offers basic tip calculation functionality at no cost
  • Limited to basic calculations without history storage

Premium Subscription

  • Premium features require a subscription
  • Available plans: Weekly ($1.99/week) and Annual ($12.99/year)
  • 3-day free trial available for first-time subscribers
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the current period ends
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase

4. SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT

Renewal and Cancellation

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase

Refunds

  • Refunds are handled according to Apple’s standard refund policy
  • If you cancel during your free trial period, you will not be charged

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree to use QuickTip only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Share your Premium subscription with others
  • Attempt to circumvent any security measures

6. PRIVACY

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the App, to understand our practices.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The QuickTip App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Oguz Doruk and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. DATA AND CALCULATIONS

Accuracy Disclaimer

  • While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all calculations will be error-free
  • Users are responsible for verifying important calculations
  • We are not liable for any financial losses resulting from calculation errors

Data Storage

  • Basic calculation data is stored locally on your device
  • Premium users’ calculation history may be stored securely for synchronization purposes
  • You can export your data at any time through the Premium features

9. DISCLAIMERS

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oguz Doruk from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. TERMINATION

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

13. CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms within the App. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Oguz Doruk regarding the use of QuickTip and supersede all prior agreements.
